I've owned this 1967 Cadillac DeVille for about 15 years, and this is one car I don't ever plan on letting go.

The project took the long road. It spent about eight years at the body shop before I finally got it back and brought the build onto Sam's Garage.

On the show, we upgraded the suspension and brakes and built an LS3 engine right on set, backed by a 4L80 transmission. We added an old-school-looking Lokar fuel injection setup controlled by a Holley Terminator system, along with Vintage Air conditioning and a completely redone interior.

For the exterior, I wanted something different. We removed the side moldings and unnecessary trim and blacked out the front and rear fascia to give this big Cadillac a much cleaner, meaner look.

And the story isn't finished.

Next month, we're painting the Cadillac at my event, which will become another chapter in a build that's already been 15 years in the making.

I absolutely love this car.
